It's been a l..o..n..g.. week for our Little Man

Kade had his 9 month check up on Wendesday. The doc said he is healthy, happy and is going to be TALL! (like we didn't know that!) However, while in talking with the doc, they always check the genitals and asked to have Kade's diaper taken off. After a short look she says, "Do you want that skin pulled back? He really needs it done to prevent infections...." . Most of you know that I have been bringing this to her attention since he was 2 weeks old. I had told her that the circumcision wasn't completed. So now at 9 months with NO numbing cream or anything she asks me to hold his feet & she YANKED & TORE the skin from the head of his willy. OMGosh!!! He was screaming, there was blood, and he is very uncomfortable. Here are his measurements:

Height: 32 inches
Weight:24.7
Head: 18 3/4

Since our visit, Kade has contracted some kind of virus that had us in the ER to get fluids. Since his body didn't want to keep them in. Poor guy, we spent all of Thursday night until 6am in the ER and then back to the peds clinic on friday from 12-3pm. We left with information that his white blood cell count was high, and that means there is an infection.(duh) But they didn't Rx any antibiotics. Tonight he has had some pedialite and a little oatmeal. However, things are looking good, he is keeping it all down. (All of this while trying to cut his 4th tooth.)

Surprise!

Yesterday on my way home from work, I called my mom to talk about dinner plans for this weekend. Much to my surprise she said that my Papa was there and surprised her with a visit! :) So Kade and I loaded up and headed to Tulsa for some much needed Papa time! Here are some pics. Enjoy! ♥

This pic is the best of 4 that we tried to take! Sorry mom, my fat head is in the way!

just some pics!

Just a few pics of the past few days...
As we welcome 3 days of rain, we spent a lot of time indoors. Sunday night, I let wrecker out to potty before bed. He was out there for quite a while and when I called him in, he was standing over a critter in the yard! So, I yelled at Kev, "Wrecker's got something in the yard, it might be a turtle!" I grabbed a flashlight. And to our surprise it was a CrawFish, and not a regular one, it was HUGE!! I have no idea where the heck it came from or how it ended up in our back yard, but we more than excited to show Kade his first crawfish... He really wanted to touch it..

It was only around 70 degrees today..
Kade wore a sweater, and he looked so cute I had to get a pic of him in it! :)

If you've spent any amount of time with Kevin, you have probably seen him chew a straw or two, Kaden thought it was a good idea to chew on the other end!

(already picking up dad's bad habits)

He wasn't sure about this.....
But it kept him occupied while I made a Jell-O Pie!
Which he LOVED!

That is about all that is going on around here!

Friends are a gift from God

We had a fabulous weekend with our friends from Norman! Tank, Erin, Kylie Renee, Kylie Jae, and RK came to visit us! We started our busy weekend on Friday.. we met Andrea, Madi, and Cait at the pool in BA for some swimming while the guys went fishing, road trippin' & just plain guy stuff. The new BA pool was really neat, Erin and I even went down the slides! However our fun in the sun was short lived due to the HEAT of the sun and the lack of shade. So only after only about an hour we headed back to Tahlequah so the babies could take naps. Saturday we headed out early to go to the lake. We went from 9am-1pm, which turned out to be the perfect time to be on the water. It wasn't 103 degrees yet and there were few boats out, so we tubed like crazy, ate lunch, then came home to hang out in the AC! The girls built a huge fort in the living room and slept in it!

Thank You Hunsinger's, and Kylie J for spending the weekend with us! We had a great time and we hope to do it again soon! We love you!
